Trash that's... Hot!

We've talked about White Trash Charms before, but now that someone at AG is the proud owner of their Trophy Wife necklace we have to go on. Let me say that this charm is a show-stopper and a conversation piece that uses some humor to let everyone know about the trophy wife that you are. WTC doesn't stop there - they have other lines for the men in the house. Han Cholo has some super-retro-styled gear for the guys. And while you're at it and going for the whole truckstop thing, check out this redo of the classic mudflap girl.

Tee for two!

When worn the Angelic Genius shirt has the side effect of having people stop you and ask about the cool apparel your little one has on. To match your stylish offspring there's two great sites we'd like to recommend: the first one is DjTees -located in the U.K. this site offers worldwide free shipping (with no minimum)- and lots of great original designs like the Steve Mc Queen t-shirt or rock'n'roll tees classified by decades. With a special thumbs-up from us for the extra cool Jack Kerouac and Lenny Bruce tees. The other place we're taking you shopping is Y-Que the home of the famous Free Winona t-shirt. These guys are back with a special section dedicated to household queen Martha Stewart, with our favorite shirt not to be missed! If after all that your head is starting to turn you might want to consider going back to the classics- and you'd be right: the word on the street is that it's the big return of the alligator this season!

Design for all!

Because we dream that one day we'll own one of these, at Angelic Genius we would like to recommend to all our design-lover friends a great website: Circa50. In their own words they "are not your grandmother modern"... On top of it this amazing site will get you your favorites classic at unbeatable price and the shipping is free! But we've also decided to solve a little inconvenience that goes with parenthood by taking you to Modernseed and Babygeared (home of the Minimink): where you don't have to give-up on that great designer look your lovenest had before the arrival of your munchkin. For the wall art Blik will do the trick in any room. And for the hardcore-modernist ones of you, go to our favorite site of them all: Postmodernpets! We're sure you'll make a great impression with the very Eames' inspired Archipod or this Plein's dog bed in the corner of your living room next time your snobby friends visit.

Can't find it? Look closer...

We all have around us somebody we love who has everything and the idea of getting them a present simply makes you cringe. Well if that person happens to be a music lover we found the golden nugget website for you: eil.com. An online store based in the U.K. where you can find all the coolest hard to find records and memorabilia.

Home James!

The scenario: you've finally managed to get the nanny to stay over for the night - it's your time to mingle with the free, the young, the child-less. Out on the town, you finally succumb to that last cocktail and have that strong desire for your bed. You wisely think to call a cab - but how do you avoid that shameful cabride #2 or lift-from-a-friend to retrieve your car from the closed parking lot, hungover, the next morning?
If you live in Los Angeles, simple! It's time to say "Home James!" This oh-so-hip company will send out your own simply smashing chauffeur, complete with a fake English accent, via scooter to your whereabouts. He arrives, collapses his mini-ride, throws it in your trunk drives you home in your car. Great idea - plus one of the better ways to be the talk of the party when you leave short of knocking over a few tables at your host's place. According to a writeup in the LA Times, "Home James' chauffeurs are all men, all actors and models, and they all go by ''James." They drive Italian bikes. A stylist is coordinating their look." Hmmm. Just try and act respectable around your new chauffeur.

Will you score?

Your friend Cameron just met a guy named Justin at Ashton's party last Saturday. She keeps calling you to asks your advice - but to tell the truth - you don't really have the time right now... You could send her on the love calculator or even go yourself in case you where wondering how long you'll last working like a dog and coming back home to a pile of dirty socks and a dinner for two to prepare. Or - if you won the lottery recently - you could get one of those otherwise just send him there!

Loves Art?

If you don't have the time or the means to visit a cool European art gallery this week don't worry because our Geniuses just solved your problem. Aeroplastics Contemporary is an online gallery featuring work by renowned artists Ellen von Unwerth, Anton Corbijn (famous for his rock'n'roll music portfolio) or John Waters - the king of bad taste from Baltimore and icon of the underground cinema.

Cool Cuts

Want to get your hair cut at the hot spot? I don't mean that place that's got guy's cuts for $80 and women for who-knows-how-much. I mean a hot spot that gives great cuts for a refreshing price - $19 to $24. Located in more than a few west-coast spots, Rudy's Barbershop is the best kept secret in Los Angeles with their too-hip venue at The Standard hotel on Sunset Blvd. Looking a bit like an actual babershop (ever seen one of those?)that's been hit with the cool-stick, the Standard location has great magazines, retrohip sneakers and other cool bits mixed in with five cutting stations in what feels like about twelve square feet. While they're not big on appointments, go hang out by the pool like a real rockstar - in the middle of a weekday with drink-in-hand - while you wait for your turn. Owner Alex Calderwood sums it up: "We're high culture meets low" - kinda like these guys. And if you wind up with one of these, it'll only be if it's the Next Big Thing.
